Huggies Snug Diapers Economy Count

I used these diapers on my son until he was seventeen pounds. They held leaks way better than Pampers and Luvs and were easier to put on and have a stretchier fit around the sides. I had to recently switch to the Stage 2 up to 18 lbs Huggies because he put on weight in his belly and made the tabs loose enough that his piano fingers could pull the diaper off! But that wasn't the diapers fault so I can't hold that against them. We're still on the stage 2's and love them as much as these. Huggies is the only brand name we buy and the only brand we would buy for others. Nobody wants to pick up their baby and find their pajama bottoms are soaked and so is the mattress! Huggies has made that unheard of in our household. Thank you Huggies! My son's dry bottom thanks you too!

  1. Huggies diapers are the best diapers for boys by design. I heard Palmpers use a slightly different design to fit girls. These are the two premium brands: Huggies for boys, Palmpers for girls.

Now about the price. Although the boxes look like in similar size, they are not. The size 3 Huggies sold by costco has 168 (the most recent ones have 174), compared to 144 sold by amazon.com and walmart, target, etc. A simple math showed that we should buy from Costco, this is after considering sales tax, shipping, etc.

  2. I like Huggies. I also like that I have figured out how to use them. First, you must make sure to "open" the diapers before you start to change your baby. The elastic is folded into the diaper and a gentle tug of your finger will flatten it out. Second, you must make sure that the elastic is not bent inward when you put the diaper on your baby. Follow these two rules and you shouldn't get many leaks. (You may be able to tell that these rules are based upon experience.) Good luck.

  3. I always said that I would never waste money on name brand diapers. I have used everything from Wal-mart and Target, Luvs, Pampers, and even some from Big Lots (Little Tikes, I think, which are better than Wal-mart and Target.) Well, my husband got Huggies by accident once, which was a pretty expensive mistake, because that is all I buy now. I love the stretchy back because it makes them fit better. My daughter wears 1 size larger in Luvs than she does in Huggies. By the way, Pampers and Luvs are pretty much the EXACT same diapers, both made by Proctor and Gamble.

  4. I have used a lot of diapers between my son and my daughter. I have tried many different brands, and I just love Huggies. I have never had any problems, and I feel they are good quality. The only time my kids ever leaked is when we use generic diapers or the Pampers baby dry (Pampers Cruisers are great, too!). I have always found that elastic waisted diapers work better and fit better, especially with mobile babies!

Little tip I learned: In my experience, if you don't unfold the elastic around the thigh before you put them on, the diapers will leak. It's not enough to just open them up and slap them on. When I started fully opening the diapers before putting them on, I stopped having a problem with leaks. (Of course, when you have a morning diaper that weighs a few pounds, it will leak for a different reason!!)

Also, I've seen a few reviews from parents who have stated that the Huggies bought online are of lower quality than what they have purchased in the stores. In my experience, I have never had this problem purchasing from Amazon, and I have never found this to be true. The Huggies I purchase from Amazon appear to be the same great Huggies I've always bought from my local grocery store, and local Walmart , and they react the same as any other "store purchased" diapers, with the exception that they arrive on my doorstep.

  5. I used Pampers, which worked fine at the newborn stage. Then my baby's poops started coming out with some force and the Pampers diapers didn't keep it in (it would shoot out of his diaper, up his back. I know, gross!) I tried securing the velcro straps tighter, but then I felt like I was squeezing my baby's waist. I realized then that my baby needed a diaper with elastic around the waist to help trap his poops in, and allow some give so he's comfortable. Pampers doesn't have elastic across the waist, so I decided to try Huggies Baby-shaped w/the elastic band, and it has worked great! No more blow outs! (Well, not completely, but we have significantly less blow outs now with the Huggies diapers.) I have to say that I also tried Huggies Supreme, which also has the elastic waistband, but I didn't like it b/c the size ran very small and was a little bulky. (For example, Pampers and Huggies Baby-shaped size 3 fit my baby at 21 lbs, but the Huggies Supreme size 3 was too small.)

  7. We used pampers only when the baby was @ hospital. When we got home we tried both pampers and huggies...and like huggies better
We also use the wipes from huggies. So you can say that huggies is our brand for the baby's diaper changing.

And i bought this diapers from the amazon for the first time. I am a dad of 19 month old baby...and amazon was gracious enough to give a membership of of amazon prime as Amazon Mom :)

and i am a couponer i dont have any store loyalty and i will buy huggies any place as long as they sell the brand new Huggies.. So after all the discounts Amazon gave me.. i found it the cheapest. Remember i use coupons.. So even after considering the fact that Babies R Us accept coupons and have those 10 $ gift card promotions they were still costlier compared to this amazon offer.. and i didnt have to spend gas and go out in cold to buy the diapers ... just got it free shipped in just two days. So for the current offer of $ 20.54 for 156 huggies# 3 (after subscription and amazon mom discounts) , its unbeatable price[its sells for $ 35 + tax @walmart].
Lets wait and see, if Amazon offers me the same deal in the coming months, i will continue to buy the diapers from amazon. You should buy it too, just compare the price per diaper.

  8. huggies work the best.... btw you should not let your baby wear the same diaper for three hours, except overnight..... my niece wears pampers and they ALWAYS leak!!! my sons have always worn huggies and they RARELY leak..... those of you that say the diapers leak, must not have the correct size on your baby, or you don't put it on correctly. also huggies wet wipes are the best. pampers are thin and take 2 or 3 times the amount to wipe off .... huggies are thicker and grab everything a lot better.... huggies are the best!!! hands down!!!
